With the announcement of the phased opening of Terminal Three [T3] from 14th October, the spotlight has now turned firmly on Emirates' much-anticipated move to its dedicated new home in Dubai.
EK843 Dubai-Doha, an Airbus A330-200, will be the first Emirates flight to be flagged off from the new terminal.

Air Arabia to introduce service to Nairobi Posted on 01/09/2008
Air Arabia, the first and largest low-cost carrier (LCC) in the Middle East and North Africa, announced yesterday that it will launch service to Nairobi, Kenya, beginning October 26, 2008. Flights will initially operate four times per week between Nairobi and Air Arabia's hub in Sharjah.

Twin welcome for Emirates' twin delivery of Boeing 777s Posted on 31/08/2008
Emirates Airline's twin delivery of two Boeing 777 aircraft arrived in Dubai yesterday, to a special welcome from twin sisters Petra and Michaela Mohylova, both of whom are cabin crew with Emirates.
The arrival of both long-range models, a Boeing 777-200LR and 777-300ER, brings Emirates' all-wide bodied passenger fleet to 111 aircraft, and adds a further 620 seats to the fast-growing airline's capacity.

Air Arabia plans daily service to Riyadh, Jeddah Posted on 27/08/2008
Air Arabia has announced that, effective September 16, it will fly daily to Riyadh and Jeddah from the carrier's primary hub in Sharjah, UAE. Currently, Air Arabia flies six times a week to Riyadh and four times to Jeddah. Under the expanded flight schedule, daily flights will depart Sharjah at 17:20pm and arrive in Riyadh at 18:00pm . Daily return flights will depart Riyadh at 18:40pm and arrive in Sharjah at 21:20pm .

Abu Dhabi Airport welcomes AirBlue Posted on 25/08/2008
Abu Dhabi International Airport welcomed the maiden commercial flight into the UAE capital by AirBlue, Pakistan's largest privately-operated airline, as its aircraft touched down at 12:00hrs local time Sunday. Etihad becomes first Gulf airline to fly to Belarus Posted on 07/08/2008
Etihad Airways became the first airline from the Gulf region to fly to Belarus this week when the Abu Dhabi-based carrier launched a twice-weekly service to the country's capital, Minsk.
