Dubai Aerospace Enterprise will build a maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility to cater to a massive influx of new airlines and charter carriers expected for Dubai World Central Airport, its chief executive said yesterday. Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) will generate more than US$500 million in revenues in 2007 through its recently acquired subsidiaries and will likely triple the following year, according to the company. Since it was formed in February 2006, the state-backed aerospace conglomerate has spent more than US$2 billion acquiring three aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul firms in Switzerland and the United States.
