An official at UAE's Foreign Ministry has asserted that no discrimination is practised against any particular nationality at the country's various airports. The official explained that the procedures followed at the airports use state of the art systems for security check, and all passengers, irrespective of their citizenships, have to pass through these procedures. Almaty - The UAE has joined the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA). UAE Ambassador to Kazakhstan, Ibrahim Hassan Saif, signed the membership document for the UAE during the CICA 3rd conference, opened here by the President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev. New York - UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has welcomed UAE's decision to write off all debts on Iraq. The debt amounting to USD 4bn that was paid to Iraq over the last several years was written off along with interest by a decision in July by President HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
