The Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA), the emirate's apex travel and leisure organisation, yesterday said it has opened offices in three key cities in China looking to capitalise on the growing outbound market which, according to the UN World Travel Organisation, will be the world's biggest by 2020.

The number of South Korean visitors arriving at Dubai International Airport (DIA) has increased by 50 per cent at the end of the first half of 2008, in comparison with the numbers by end of 2007, according to figures by Dubai Naturalisation and Residency Department (DNRD). DIA registered the arrival of 32,370 South Korean visitors during the first half of 2008 alone, whereas only 42,000 South Korean visitors passed through the airport in the whole year of 2007.
